Choice and self determination are taken for granted by most of us. yet for many people within the autistic spectrum, freedom of choice is rarely given and yet personal choice and autonomy defines and expresses the very person we are. Within a care home environment, this choice can often be limited to the structure of the house itself. To enable the care home to function, there will be a regular daily routine, there will be a common structure to which the clients individual needs are met as best as possible.

With Daybreak Care, we remove the  “best as possible” we work with the person in their own home to their own needs. Following our psychological and behavioural report, we work in an organic fashion with the individual, with the family and with the one desire to promote a healthy and independent lifestyle that maximises the person’s skills and ambitions. We provide a consistent and safe environment for our individuals to attain their personal goals. That environment is the best possible setting for participants to feel safe and secure and to ensure a consistency and familiarity that most people with autism respond best to. That environment is the clients home.
